Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund III

(ESSER III or ARP ESSER)

 The American Rescue Plan Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ARP ESSER) Fund under the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act of 2021, Public Law 117-2 was enacted on March 11, 2021. ARP ESSER provides a total of nearly $122 billion to States and school districts to help safely reopen and sustain the safe operation of schools and address the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the nation’s students. Approximately $1.1 billion will be awarded to Oregon and 90% of this amount ($1,008,925,861) will go to districts using the Title I formula. ESSER III Fund grants can be used to reimburse eligible expenses incurred between March 13, 2020 and September 30, 2024.
