Summer Schedule & Resources

Summer is here! We're excited to see our students, faculty, and staff stretch and take a break after the school year! Here's a collection of important dates and times for the summer:

Office Summer Schedules:

  • School building offices are closed until August 3rd. They will also be closed Friday, August 28th.

  • The District Office will observe the following modified schedule:

    • Weekly Schedule:
      Monday & Friday: Closed
      Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday: Open from 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

    • Specific Closure Dates:
      The District Office will be completely closed on the following dates:
      Mondays: June 29, July 6, July 13, July 20
      Fridays: July 3, July 10, July 17, July 24
      Regular office hours will resume the week of July 27, 2026. We hope you have a wonderful summer!

Summer Meals:

Free summer meals! We provide free, healthy, nutritious meals for kids and teens younger than 18 years. There's no cost or sign-up required.
Meals are served June 29th to July 30th, Monday through Thursday. On Thursdays, To-Go meals for Friday through the following Monday will be available. 

Stayton Middle School Cafeteria:

  • 🍴 Meals: Hot Lunch (Eat On-Site) & Breakfast for the Next Day (To-Go)
  • ⏰ Time: 11:00 AM — 1:00 PM
  • 📍 Note: Lunches must be consumed at the site. Breakfasts are for the next morning at home.
  • ✨ Activity Table: Fun activities available for kids after they finish eating! 

Mari-Linn:

  • 🍴 Meals: Breakfast & Lunch To-Go
  • ⏰ Time: 11:30 AM — 12:00 PM

Adult Lunches: $5.00  |  Weekend Meals: Breakfast/lunch to-go provided for Fri–Mon at all sites. 

Summer Oregon EBT:

Summer EBT is a grocery benefits program. It helps families buy food for their school-aged children when school is out. Each summer, families will get one payment of $120 for each eligible child to buy groceries. Find more information including FAQs on the Oregon EBT website.

Summer Youth Sports Camps:

Santiam Hospital & Clinics Sports Physicals

Santiam Hospital & Clinics will be offering sports physicals in Stayton this August. The cost for the physical is $10.00 (cash or check). If there is any concern that a student is unable to pay, Service Integration will cover the fee to ensure access for all students. Athletes under 18 need a parent signature.

  • Wednesday, August 5th (2:00pm to 6:00pm): Cascade High School 10226 Marion Rd SE, Turner
  • Wednesday, August 12th (3:00pm to 4:30pm): Santiam Medical Clinic 280 S 1st Ave, Mill City
  • Thursday,  August 13th (2:00pm to 6:00pm): Stayton High School 757 W Locust St, Stayton
  • Tuesday, August 25th (3:00pm to 4:30pm): Santiam Medical Clinic 280 S 1st Ave, Mill City

Back to School:

  • First Day of School (K-9): Monday, August 31st (some Kinders have staggered starts so parents should connect with their school)
  • First Day of School (10-12): Tuesday, September 1st
