ParentSquare Communication Platform

NSSD has some great ways to help our families stay connected to what’s going on across our District and also have constant access to information about their specific student(s). ParentSquare is a communication platform that delivers information and messages from individuals schools and the district office. It also provides access to a differnt tool called ParentVUE, which allows parents/guardians to  view specific information about their student(s) such as grades and assignments.

ParentSquare replaces the NSSD Mobile App and the Smore newsletters. It provides increased opportunities for engagement and communication with applications such as: 

  • electronic permission forms for field trips
  • electronic sign-up for events, volunteer opportunities and conferences
  • two-way direct messaging between parents and teachers that are automatically translated

In order to engage at this level, parents/guardians must register with ParentSquare so they can securely connect to their student. To get the most out of ParentSquare, users are encouraged to download the app!

To Activate a ParentSquare account

1.       Search your email for an invitation from ParentSquare in your email or text messages.
2.       Click Activate your account or tap the link to go to the account registration page.
3.       Enter your email or phone number, then click Get Started.
(Optional: You can also sign in with Google or Microsoft.) 
4.       Check your contact information. If it looks correct, click Confirm. You’ll receive a code by text or email.
5.        Enter the veriļ¬cation code when asked. 
6.        You’ll see your children’s names. Click Confirm next to each child who should be connected to your account. If a child is listed by mistake, click Not my child. 
7.         If everything looks correct, click Yes, this is me.

ParentVUE

ParentVUE is secure, web-based application that allows parents and guardians to view and manage their child's academic information in real-time, including grades, assignments, and attendance. There is also a version for students in grades 6-12 called StudentVue.
